What Are All-on-4 and New Teeth Today?
All-on-4 and New Teeth Today® are advanced full-arch tooth replacement procedures that use 4 to 6 dental implants to support a complete set of permanent teeth on the upper or lower jaw. Through digital planning, the entire procedure (including tooth removal, implant placement, and placement of temporary teeth) is completed in a single day. Unlike traditional dentures that sit on the gums, these new teeth are secured directly to dental implants for the strength and stability of natural teeth.
After several months of healing, the implants fuse with the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. Once integration is complete, your temporary teeth are replaced with a final, long-term restoration designed for maximum durability, aesthetics, and comfort.

What to Expect
Consultation and Digital Planning
Your treatment begins with a comprehensive consultation at Sherry Dental & Wellness. Dr. Sherry will review your medical and dental history, evaluate your existing teeth and jaw structure, and discuss your goals. Using digital scanning, 3D imaging, and CT technology, your treatment is planned in advance with precision with the surgical team to know exactly where to place each implant and how to design your new teeth for an ideal fit.
Surgery Day
On the day of surgery, the surgeon will remove any non-restorable teeth and any infected tissue. Using the digital plan as a guide, the surgeon then precisely places 4 to 6 dental implants into the jawbone and takes digital scans of your mouth. Those scans are sent to the lab, which finalizes the digital design for your new teeth. Once the design is complete, Dr. Sherry prints your temporary teeth in-office and secures them in place that same day, giving you a complete, natural-looking smile before you leave.
Healing and Osseointegration
Over the following months, your implants gradually fuse with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration, where the bone grows around and bonds to the implant. During this healing period, you will wear your temporary teeth, which look and function like natural teeth. Dr. Sherry will provide specific instructions on food choices to ensure your implants heal properly. Most patients return to their normal routine and work within a few days after surgery.
Final Restoration
Once your implants have fully integrated with the jawbone (typically several months after surgery), your temporary teeth are replaced with a final, long-term restoration. This final set of teeth is designed for maximum strength, durability, and aesthetics. Crafted with premium materials and custom-shaped to match your facial structure, the final restoration is designed to last for many years.
All-on-4 and New Teeth Today® Results
Most patients leave their surgery day with a fully functional set of teeth and an entirely new smile. Within the first few days, eating, speaking, and smiling start to feel natural again, and many patients describe the change as life-changing. After 4 to 6 months of healing, the temporary teeth are replaced with the final restoration, which is designed for maximum strength, durability, and aesthetics.
The dental implants used in these procedures can last decades or even a lifetime when properly cared for. The final restoration is designed to last 10 to 20 years or longer, depending on the materials used, your oral hygiene, and your daily habits. With routine brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits, your new smile can continue functioning beautifully for many years to come.
All-on-4 and New Teeth Today® FAQs
How long does the procedure take?
The initial surgery, including tooth removal, implant placement, and placement of the temporary teeth, is typically completed in a single day. Most patients receive their new teeth within 24 hours of starting the procedure. The final restoration is placed several months later, after the implants have fully fused with the jawbone.
Will the procedure be painful?
The procedure is performed under anesthesia, so most patients do not feel pain during the surgery itself. Some discomfort, swelling, and tenderness are normal during the first few days of recovery and can be managed with prescribed medication. Most patients are surprised by how manageable recovery feels.
How long do All-on-4 or New Teeth Today® results last?
When properly cared for, the dental implants used in these procedures can last decades or even a lifetime. The final restoration may need to be repaired or replaced over time due to normal wear, but the underlying implants are designed to be a permanent solution. Regular dental visits and proper home care help maximize the longevity of your results.
How does this compare to traditional dentures?
Unlike traditional dentures, which sit on the gums and may shift or feel unstable, All-on-4 and New Teeth Today® are secured to dental implants placed directly in the jawbone. This provides a level of stability, comfort, and confidence that removable dentures cannot match. They also help preserve jawbone density, which can deteriorate over time with traditional dentures.
Are financing options available?
Yes. Sherry Dental and Wellness offers financing options and extended payment plans to help make full-arch implant procedures more accessible. Our team will walk you through the available options during your consultation so you can choose the plan that fits your budget.
