Meet the Dentist
Dr. Sasha Sherry, DMD
Dr. Sasha Sherry grew up with a passion for learning and a drive to achieve excellence across her life interests. Her aspirations brought her to Princeton University where she graduated with a degree in biology and received All-American honors as a Division I athlete. Dr. Sasha, as many of her patients call her, went on to become a member of the United States Women’s National Ice Hockey Team and competed for a spot on the 2010 Olympic team. After her athletic career, she followed in her father’s footsteps and graduated from dental school at Temple University as a multiple award recipient for her commitment to patient care and clinical skills.
Dr. Sasha is a life-long learner and spends countless hours advancing her knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Aside from general dentistry practices, her expertise extends to sleep medicine, children’s development, and restoring implants. She enjoys being a member of several dental organizations and attends meetings throughout the year to ensure Sherry Dental remains at the cutting edge of the industry. The office has two top-of-the-line digital scanners for in-the-mouth impressions and patient education, a 3D printer, and a custom jaw articulator all to improve patient comfort and treatment outcomes.
Dr. Sasha’s greatest passion is to develop lasting relationships and provide the best possible care to help improve the lives of her patients. Having a direct impact on making people feel better is what drives her to continue learning more ways to help her patients. She recently became a co-founder of the first North American chapter of an international women’s implantology group. She is also highly involved in Nobel Biocare and their next-generation speakers program.
Outside of the dental world, Dr. Sasha continues to play ice hockey in local leagues and offers private lessons to rising hockey stars. She also greatly enjoys her time engaging in community outreach and development within Shenandoah and Schuylkill County. Her other interests include golfing, bow hunting, reading, and staying active.
Brooke
Assistant
Brooke has over fourteen years of dental assisting experience and brings extensive knowledge to our office. While remaining professional and approachable her number one goal is to give the patient a pleasant experience from the moment they walk in. You can always count on Brooke to make a few jokes to keep you comfortable and laughing at Sherry Dental. When she is not assisting Dr. Sherry with patient care, she has been immersing herself in the cutting-edge world of digital dentistry. Over the last three years, Brooke has done ample training on digital smile design and 3D printing to keep Sherry Dental at the forefront which enables better patient outcomes and comfort. In her free time, you can find Brooke enjoying live music, spending time with her family and friends, or planning her next tattoo.
Jill
Office Manager
Jill has been with the Sherry Dental family for over nine years. She is an enthusiastic and adaptable professional receptionist with exceptional multitasking abilities and dental insurance knowledge. Jill will go above and beyond to achieve the best outcome for our patient’s insurance reimbursements. She enjoys learning and staying up to date with all the changing dental advancements. She continuously attends courses and webinars to ensure our office is always improving. Outside of work, Jill loves spending time with her husband and three children. Her family stays busy traveling and enjoying the great outdoors.
Angela
Hygienist
Angela has thirteen years of experience in dental hygiene and has been the hygienist at our office since opening five years ago. She truly enjoys each opportunity to engage with patients on a personal level and improve their health. Angela prides herself on staying up to date with education and research as it pertains to her role in oral health. She is motivated to continuously improve her craft to give our patients high-level care and comfort. Her most recent continuing education courses include nutrition and the oral cavity, oral cancer, sleep apnea, implant maintenance, and tongue ties. Outside of the office, Angela enjoys an active lifestyle with her family. You can find her in the gym, outdoors on the trails, or rooting her daughter on at her sporting events.
Makenna
Receptionist
Makenna is a dedicated and enthusiastic pre-dental undergraduate student at Temple University, joining our team as a receptionist for the summer. With a passion for dentistry, Makenna is pursuing a degree in Health Professions and gaining valuable experience in our office. Makenna is responsible for managing patient appointments and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. Outside of her academic and work environment, Makenna enjoys fishing, traveling, skiing and hunting during the winter months, and spending time with her family and her four cats.
Tiffany
Assistant
Tiffany has over three decades of experience as a dental assistant. She is dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit. You will find that she is compassionate, able to put the patient at ease, and ensures a positive dental experience. She has committed herself to the dental field and has shown great loyalty throughout her career. In her spare time outside of the office, she can be found with her husband and three children. She loves to bake, attend high school sporting events and binge watch Netflix.
